Plastic armor on the phone.
Rubber armor over the plastic armor.
Plastic armor over the rubber.

Three layers of protection. This thing is a tank now. My only complaint is it's hard to get in and out of the leg pocket of my carpenter pants now. I don't use the holster clip, I've got a thing against putting stuff on my belt after a stint as "Batman" in the late 90's early 00's.

At first I thought they had sent me the wrong item because I couldnt use the back of the phone case that I was using with the extended battery, but when I took it off and applyed the full on seidio case I was truly impressed. It is a wonderful product and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a serious case for a HTC EVO 4G that wants to protect their phone and still have the functionality of the extended battery. My only two complaints were that I lost the hands free TV Mount and my flashlight app. But smalll sacarafices for long term SATISFACTION!!!!! :)

The case is very rugged and does protect against being dropped. But the problem that I have is the the battery cover for my phone will not fit with the cover on. So the back of my phone is exposed to water damage to the battery as well as the internal parts. I think they need to make this case just a little bigger so that the back cover can be on and still fit in the case.
