Miss Jessie's baby butter cream is a great product for children or adults. It leaves my daughter's hair feeling very soft, and it prevents breaking. It makes it so much easier to comb through. It smells sweet too. However, be aware that there is coconut in the ingredients, so nut-sensitive kids may have an issue with this, luckily (knock on wood) not us. I love this product and recommend it to anyone who wants to grow out their curly hair.

My hair is coarse and dry. Other products I've used doesn't hold moisture leaving it dry and brittle. I love the way this product moisturizes and leaves it soft. Great for a natural look. It gives it a great shine.

MJ recommends using this for dry twistouts, but for my type 4 hair, that was a BIG NO. It smelled good, but it was so greasy and it made my ends crunchy. I tried it again on a wet twistout because it's so dang expensive and I wanted to like it. It did moisturize my hair. My curls looked good, but I get shrinkage when I style damp hair, so I was a little disappointed. My recommendation is to try SheaMoisture products instead. I feel like MJ uses their founders' big, curly hair to sell a dream to naturals who want their hair to be something it's really not. If you have type 4 hair, you're not going to look like Tracee Ellis Ross after you use this stuff, or anything from their line. Your kinks will still be kinks, although possibly more moisturized and manageable. Their products are probably really inexpensive to make, and they charge all that money for their creative marketing. Save your dough and do research on cheaper, ORGANIC products that do what they claim.
